Usual Judd Apatow crew, plus Adam Sandler and Jason Schwartzman. The last movie Sanberg played a semi-solemn role in (Punch Drunk Love) was the bomb; this should be interesting:

Any opportunity to see Zach Galifianakis and/or Ed Helms in action is a definite positive. Also, Mike Tyson miming the big drum fill from "In the Air Tonight" is probably one of the greatest things I've ever seen. The Hangover hits theaters June 5:
"Stillness is the Move" from Dirty Projectors' upcoming album Bitte Orca, due out June 9th.:
Couldn't bring myself to not post either one of these.
I don't slip, homey:
On Q101 in Chicago:
Inglorious Basterds is a WWII flick from Quentin Tarantino, starring a cast that includes Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, BJ Novak, and Mike Myers. It hits theaters 8/21. Wow:
Last night kicked off a potentially great week of late night musical guests. A.C. Newman and Nicole Atkins got together on The Late Show to perform "Like a Hitman, Like a Dancer" from Newman's new album Get Guilty. Tonight the Yeah Yeah Yeahs will perform on The Late Show, followed by another 'Yeahs' performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tomorrow night. Neko Case will also be performing tomorrow night (Late Show), and Franz Ferdinand will close out the week on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Oh yeah, and The Roots are only on Late Night every night of the week.
"Like a Hitman, Like a Dancer" (the video unfreezes after about 3 seconds):
The new track sounds pretty good... But what's up with following it with a song that's five years old?
"Zero", from It's Blitz!:
"Maps", from Fever To Tell:
For those of you that saw the Billy Bob Thornton clip last night, there's a lot more where that came from. It was actually just one of many weirdo moments that made up an almost 14 minute long interview with Thornton and the other members of "The Boxmasters". There seems to be a trend developing here. I'm calling BS:
From Mike Judge (Office Space), starring Jason Bateman (Arrested Development) and that girl that plays the "One-Upper" on SNL:
Amen, brother!

Held out a couple extra days in the hopes that this would surface somewhere before I finally posted the first "Cup" on Monday. Better late than never:
SNL performances tend to be hit and miss on sound quality, etc., but Phoenix rocked it this weekend. Hard to believe these guys started out as Air's backing band:
"1901", from Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix:
"Lisztomania", from Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix:
"It's good to be paranoid. People need to be more paranoid. Case in point, JFK. If I had been JFK, I would've seen all three gunmen. I would've pulled out my concealed Luger and fired first. Man in book depository, boom! Grassy knoll, boom! Fake Jackie, boom! Then I'd shoot myself, so I don't change history and create a paradox, boom! But right at the last minute I'd twist out of the way of the bullet. Nice try, history. Better luck next year."
Definitely a frontrunner for track of the year. No official video yet; Just sort it out:
