love seeing them on letterman and getting some pub but everytime its always a bittersweet experience. this is one band that i'm sincerely glad to see not get too mainstream. cause there are the one or two bands that everyone likes to play close to their chest just to keep it sacred and unsaturated. thankfully, i've got a good feeling there is no way bss ever appeal to the mass public. happy earth day?!?!

Wow, I'm glad I never really got into the Beta Band. Also, I liked You In Reverse, the first song is good enough that I don't even care what the rest of the album sounds like. I don't really care for their newest one though. And, I haven't listened to it a ton, but since Pitchfork just gave the new MGMT a 6.8, I'm gonna go ahead and call it a huge disappointment.

First of all, this post is ludicrously awesome.

Secondly, some of these are pretty obvious, but:

...Trail of Dead - It's flabbergasting how AWFUL everything they've done after Source Tags & Codes is.

Antelope - One awesome ep, one awesome split, one giant turd of a boring album

Block Party - Weekend in the City was actually ok, Intimacy was pretty bad

Clor - putting out absolutely nothing after one of the greatest albums ever is simply unacceptable.

Foo Fighters - been on a steep decline ever since Nothing Left to Lose

Postal Service - Yes, I'm blaming them for Owl City

Tapes n' Tapes - Kind of hard to believe the same band made both The Loon and Walk It Off.

Hey, are you aware of the Faraquet anthology Dischord just released? It's also a must have for any Faraquet fan. There some stuff on there I was never able to ger my hands on. I first saw them open for Burning Airlines a couple nights in a row and I was hooked. Can't wait for the new Medications

Those three bands together would beat any label that the Beatles/Any "historic" band were on. Just because Jawbox and Minor Threat were pioneers it doesn't mean that they supercede the awesomeness that is the three aforementioned bands. If there was a way to electronically kill you, I would.
