Current Spider-Man Franchise Squashed

The Playlist, amongst others, is reporting that Spider-Man 4 is officially off the table and the entire franchise will be scrapped and rebooted in about 2 years or so. Sam Raimi (director) and Tobey Maguire are washing their hands of Spider-Man for good. Thanks to Spider-Man 3, the real question is whether or not anyone cares at this point. More details here.
